Liability Claims Handler Lloyds of London Market – London based up to £50k per annum

Our client a niche national loss adjusting practice concentrating their activity on specialist areas specifically across liability, construction and engineering is now looking for an experienced Liability Claims Handler to work within one of their Lloyds Broker Clients based in central London for a period of 12 months whereafter you will then join the Loss Adjusting Specialist London team working closely with the Lloyds of London Market, this will be a diverse and exciting role offering you exposure to the Broking and Loss Adjusting London Market.  Flexible working options will be offered following initial training.

 

The role:

You will provide a quality Claims service to a Lloyds Broker and Underwriters based in the City.

To receive new claims advice from their producing brokers and obtain the relevant policy details from the internal system and identify the appropriate insurer

You will handle a variety of classes of business including liability, property and professional indemnity claims.

Register new claims, providing acknowledgement and claims reference to producing brokers

Advise insurers of new claims and the relevant procedures

Receive further claims information on existing claims and providing this to insurers

Maintaining and the updating of claims files on systems

Set up new claims on ECF and the processing of subsequent advice and payment requests on ECF

Liaison with producing brokers regarding general claims matters, updates etc.

Preparation of Bordereaux for selected insurers as requested

To instruct solicitors/adjusters where required

Manage claims up to £100k and in excess of under referral

To report any claim where you identify, or have been advised of, potential coverage issues

 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

About you:

Liability Claims Handling experience in a similar role - essential

You must have a general knowledge of the insurance industry specifically the Lloyds of London Market

Be organised, have excellent attention to detail, be a good communicator and be able to work effectively within your team

The ability to prioritise workload, develop and maintain relationships and be able to work under pressure

You will need to be an advanced user on all Microsoft packages

Exceptional IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Database

Industry qualifications, working towards or a willingness to complete
